Hey, I'm Darrell "D-Funk" Looney — fellow musician, founder of FlavaJazz. Streaming services bury jazz in the same five mood playlists or simply lump it in with blues every week. Jazz artists are always dropping incredible work, and most of it never finds the people who'd actually love it.
So I built Flavajazz.com. You flip through release covers like you're crate-digging. You go deeper behind the music when you read the story revealed in the artist liner notes (shows when you click on the current artwork). Each week I send a short email with what's new. No biased selection process, no fancy algorithm — just a musician pointing the work of other musicians at the people who'd love to hear their stuff.
